Plot:
In a world where cryptids are very much real, but still elusive and under-researched, Kyra Mason’s family works for CRISIS: the Cryptozoological Research Institute and Special Investigation Services. After an event known as “the McKinley Massacre”, it becomes clear that cryptids have become a very present danger; no longer staying hidden, nor staying within their expected regions, and even the passive ones are becoming aggressive. Now, Kyra must help her parents and the rest of CRISIS investigate the rash of violent incidents spreading around the globe.
Overview: This is the backstory behind my sona, Wesley McKinley! Basically it’s how he became a wendigo, and his life working for CRISIS alongside his best friend Kyra and a few other characters.
Synopsis (Part 1): After a middle school camping trip goes tragically wrong, McKinley Campground is closed down as a sprawling, bloody crime scene. Quickly realizing this is no ordinary string of murders, CRISIS is contacted: the Cryptozoological Research and Special Investigations Service. After the primary cleanup, Alannah Mason and her team of field researchers are deployed to search the area for clues and data regarding the mysterious, dangerous presence at the campground. Alannah’s daughter Kyra tags along, one day hoping to work for CRISIS herself, but for now, enthralled with a summer project focusing on cryptids. Alannah instructs Kyra to stay within sight of CRISIS security at all times during the trip, but a childs’ curiosity knows no bounds…
